COLORED PENCILS: LIGHT AND REFLECTION (1 Credit Hour)

September 24 – 25 | Guest Artist: Jill Harper

$90 Registration Fee

During this workshop we will explore creating our own still life drawings using colored pencil. Work will focus on traditional as well as more contemporary approaches to drawing such as light source, transparency, reflection, and color layering techniques. Day one will focus on drawing and adding layers of color to organic forms; day two will focus on drawing how light responds to transparent objects such as colored glass. Each day will include a demonstration and discussion of a topic that will guide your work for the day followed by plenty of work time, as well as one-on-one critiques. The workshop will end with a group critique to celebrate the work done during the weekend.
